Native Grasses

Native grasses bring movement, texture and year-round structure to a garden, while requiring far less water and maintenance than traditional lawns and exotic ornamental grasses. From fine, feathery tussocks to bold strappy foliage, they suit everything from formal borders to naturalistic native gardens.

Beyond their good looks, native grasses play an important ecological role — providing shelter and food for native insects, butterflies and small birds, and helping stabilise soil with their deep, fibrous root systems. That makes them a mainstay of revegetation and waterway planting as well as home gardens.

All our native grasses are grown from local provenance seed, so they're suited to the soils and climate of the Casey and Cardinia region.
